Hull City boss Steve Bruce is battling to sign permanently Sunderland winger Ahmed Elmohamady.

Bruce has agreed a £2million fee with his former club Sunderland for the Egyptian winger, 25.

But West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers want to hijack the deal by offering the player bigger wages.

Elmohamady said: "I have a great respect for Steve Bruce and he is the coach I want to play for.

"But, at this moment, my future is uncertain."
