Hull City are set to reopen contract talks with Sone Aluko.
The midfielder's current deal expires in June.
The Hull Daily Mail says negotiations with Aluko were shelved last month when learning he would miss up to ten weeks with an Achilles injury but with the months ticking down towards the end of his deal next summer, City remain keen to address a lingering sense of uncertainty.
Aluko turned down City's best offer to date shortly before suffering his latest injury heartache, creating an impasse in talks.
