Hull City have rejected the chance to sign former Middlesbrough striker Malcolm Christie after running the rule over the former Derby star.
The injury-prone 28-year-old has been training with the Championship outfit in a bid to earn a full-time deal but manager Phil Brown has decided to turn down the chance.
Christie was released by Middlesbrough in the summer after failing to sustain a regular spot at The Riverside during his four-and-a-half-year stint, although his cause was not helped by suffering two broken legs and a fractured foot.
"We've had a good look at Malcolm but decided not to give him a deal," Brown told BBC Radio Humberside.
