Hull City are pressing to close a deal for free agent Sol Campbell.
The Mirror says Hull boss Phil Brown is desperate to set up a January deal for Campbell.
Campbell, 35, is a free agent after quitting Notts County after just one game into a five-year £40,000-a-week contract with the League Two outfit.
But former England defender Campbell is unlikely to be allowed to sign for another club until the January transfer window as he decided to quit Notts County.
