Hull plan massive offer for Sunderland striker Campbell

Hull City are being linked with a £7 million move for Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell.

Hull boss Steve Bruce needs a striker in the January transfer window to boost his side's promotion hopes.<> Campbell, 25, is his top target - and he has been told by Tigers owners Assem and Ehab Allam that they will back his bid to land the ex-Manchester United man.

Former Black Cats chief Bruce spent £6m to take Campbell to the Stadium of Light in 2009 - a year after the marksman had notched 15 goals in 34 games on loan from United to help take Hull into the Premier League.
