Leicester City striker Matt Fryatt is a surprise target for Hull City.
The News of the World says Tigers boss Brown is lining up a £4million swoop for the Leicester hitman, who banged in 32 goals last term as the Foxes won League One.
Fryatt, 23, joined Leicester from Walsall for £350,000 in January 2006 and signed a new 3½-year deal with the Foxes last December.
But City would find it difficult to turn down a big offer for Fryatt, who scored four goals in six appearances for England Under-19's.
