Hull City owner Assem Allam has spoken highly of the job done by manager Steve Bruce this season.
The former Manchester United star took the reins at the KC Stadium in the summer of 2012, guiding the Tigers to the Premier League with a second-place finish in the Championship, before an arguably more successful campaign in 2013/14.
Bruce has Hull placed 13th on the top flight table and into their first-ever FA Cup final, where they face Arsenal at Wembley on May 17, which has prompted words of praise from proud owner Allam.
"Steve has built a team the whole community can be proud of," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Football is like business, you stand or fall by your decisions. If he had failed, we would have failed."
Club chief executive Ehad Allam added: "Steve has done a great job. He has proved to be a very good manager this season.
"We brought him here because of that, and he has lived up to his reputation. He has exceeded all our expectations this season.
"To be promoted in his first year in charge exceeded our expectations. To be in an FA Cup final and look like we are on course for survival has also exceeded all our expectations.
"But then we have also exceeded our expectations by spending what we have."
