Hull City boss Steve Bruce is still keen on West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.
The Mirror says Bruce failed to land Long in a last-minute move on transfer deadline and is still keen to sign the Republic of Ireland forward, despite seeing his Tigers hit Fulham for six on Saturday.
The Hull boss feels he needs to strengthen his strike-force to boost their survival chances in their first season back in the Premier League, and will try again for Long - who has been linked with Tottenham - with a £6.5million bid.
