Hull City assistant manager Brian Horton has told Dean Windass to forget a loan move away.
After seeing Windass strike in their 2-2 draw with Portsmouth, Horton said: "I think he deserves it, and I've told him he should stay here.
"There's been talk he wants to go out on loan somewhere but if I was 39 I wouldn't want to go to a Championship club - even if I was 19th man at Hull.
"He trains well and there are plenty who would want him, but I know he just wants to play - and he plays with a smile on his face. He's given the governor (manager Phil Brown) here a selection problem now."
