Hull move unlikely for Leeds striker Beckford

Hull City's pursuit of Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford is a likely non-starter.

The Hull Daily Mail says whilst keen to bring in a striker, Tigers boss Phil Brown must wait until he can farm out Caleb Folan before he can do so. He has already agreed to Daniel Cousin joining QPR on-loan until the end of the season, but he needs another big earner to leave to let him bring someone in.

Brown has sounded out Aston Villa's Marlon Harewood, 30, and is hoping to get him on-loan for the rest of the season - if he fails with other targets.
