Hull City midfielder David Meyler has spoken of his bust-up with Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew earlier this year.
Pardew is still serving a ban for the ruck.
"What good am I to my team if I react?" said the Republic of Ireland international to the Daily Mail.
"We were 3-1 down and it was a minor incident in my eyes. If I'd retaliated I could have been looking at a long ban myself and what good am I then?
"It's probably the most successful season I've had in the Premier League and I would never want to spoil that. That's why I reacted the way I did."
