The South African international recently spent a two week trial period with the Tigers, impressing enough to tempt Phil Brown into making a formal approach for his services.

"We've got a bid on the table for Delron Buckley with Borussia Dortmund and we're waiting on that one" he told Hull Daily Mail.

"It hasn't been accepted but it's not a million miles away. Once that's accepted, we'll talk to the player and discuss terms.

"If something better comes along in the next couple of weeks then Delron and Borussia Dortmund might miss out.

"But he's a good lad with quality, pace, a trick and a very good left foot.

"If we want two players for each position then the pressure is on the likes of Bryan Hughes and Peter Halmosi - that's what we're after."
