Paul Hart is favourite to become Hull's new boss, reports the Daily Mirror. Head of football operations Adam Pearson agreed a pay-off with Phil Brown last week to clear the way for the new manager's appointment and Hart is top of their hit-list.
Hart has been out of work since keeping Crystal Palace up on the last day of the season and is open to offers.
He is said to be interested in the Hull job and his wage demands would fit within the Tigers' tight budget.
Dave Jones is also being considered, but buying him out of his £750,000-a-year deal at Cardiff probably puts him beyond Hull's reach.
