Hull City have asked Real Madrid about the availability of striker Alvaro Negredo.
The Hull Daily Mail says sources in Spain have confirmed that the Tigers have been in touch to discuss a transfer.
Real sold the striker to Almeria last summer, but brought him back on a buy-back option for £4.25m after he scored 19 goals in 35 appearances.
Real repurchased the hitman purely with objective of selling him on at a higher price following his impressive season.
It is not yet known what type of deal City are negotiating, whether it be a season-long loan, a buy-back arrangement or a complete transfer.
