Hull City goalkeeper Boaz Myhill says their thumping by Wigan Athletic was a major wake-up call.
"There's no point in working for five years to get into this division and then crumbling with fear just because you're playing against better players," the 25-year-old told the Sunday Times.
"We've earned the right to be here. The Wigan game taught us every team needs to be respected and that we're going to come unstuck if we're not on our game every time. That was a harsh lesson."
