Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor is facing six weeks on the sidelines.
McGregor has been told to rest having seen a specialist over a persistent shoulder injury which has troubled the Scottish international in recent weeks, says the Hull Daily Mail.
"We're just delighted he doesn't need an operation, because we thought it might," said manager Steve Bruce.
"The specialist has said we need to rest him, and stop diving on it. Hopefully, in four to six weeks he'll be back to normal."
