Hull City goalkeeper Steve Harper is full of praise for manager Steve Bruce.
Harper makes no secret of his desire to forge a new career as a manager and the lessons being learned under Bruce will not be forgotten.
"From my first day here I've been very impressed with the manager and the way he works," Harper told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Someone like myself, who is well on with my coaching badges, you tend to pick up the little things from all the managers you have. From the outside, perhaps mainly when he was at Sunderland, he was tarred with a brush that he was out-dated and a dinosaur.
"But in my first 10 games here I think we'd played three different formations. I soon thought 'Hang on a second, he's an impressive manager here.' He's a very good speaker too, the way he motivates the lads. You can't help but like him.
"I come across players who have played under him in the past as well and they say exactly the same thing.
"It's great for him to be having success, too. The Sunderland thing was a big disappointment so for him to come back with Hull City into the Premier League shows just what a good manager he is."
