Hull City are eyeing Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood.

The Hull Daily Mail says Tigers officials sounded out Harewood within days of securing their top-flight status.

And commanding a transfer fee of between £1.5m-£2m, with wage demands of around £25,000 week, he is thought to be well within City's range.

"Marlon still feels he can do a good job in the Premier League and he is aware of Hull's interest and is waiting to see if there is any development," a source close to Harewood said.
