Hull City aim to close the signing of Tottenham defender Michael Dawson in the coming days.
The Hull Daily Mail says City are hopeful of securing Dawson before flying to the Algrave on Thursday.
A fee, believed to be around £4m, has provisionally been agreed with Tottenham, with the Tigers willing to meet the defender's demands.
A minor sticking point has come with payments due at White Hart Lane but it is hoped a willingness to get a deal done should iron out any problems.
