The future of Assem Allam at Hull City is in doubt.
The Hull Daily Mail says Hull have formally called a press conference for Thursday as the speculation over the future of owner Allam intensifies.
The 75-year-old chairman will face the media at 2pm at the KC Stadium to clarify his plans for the club following a period of increasing uncertainty.
City offer no clue as to what issues will be addressed by Allam but his own position will be top of the agenda.
Allam promised to walk away from the club if his bid to rebrand the club as Hull Tigers was rejected by the Football Association but has since kept his own counsel during a record-breaking summer in the transfer market that saw City spend upwards of £40m.
