Hull City are expected to win the race for Cork City defender Brian Lenihan.
The Hull Daily Mail says Lenihan will play two more matches for his club before his successful move to Hull City, sources in Ireland say.
Cork face Bray Wanderers and Bohemians before the end of the week, so Tigers fans can expect a new signing through the door well before the closure of the transfer window on September 1.
However, it could take more than £130,000 to land the 20-year-old after that offer from Crystal Palace was rejected earlier this month.
