Dean Windass is considering his future at Hull City after being dropped for their defeat at Manchester United.
Windass told itv.com: "I have to admit I've not had a great week and am feeling pretty low at the moment. In fact I feel like I've been kicked in the teeth.
"I finally got on to the pitch against Chelsea last Wednesday and it felt great to be playing again, even if it was only for seven minutes.
"But then on Saturday at Old Trafford I was dropped without any explanation from the manager.
"The reception I got from the Hull fans at the KC [Stadium] was amazing and made the hairs on my neck stand up, but after Saturday I now can't help feeling it was something of a token gesture from the manager."
Windass claims he has a "great relationship" with Brown, however, it may become strained as he waits on the sidelines for his chance in the top flight.
"He's told me often that he wants me to stay, but after Saturday I'm feeling bewildered," Windass said.
