Hull face losing Diame to Newcastle

Managerless Hull City face losing Momo Diame this week.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle United are closing in on Diame, after making a bid which meets a release clause in the Tigers' midfielder's deal.

Magpies boss Rafa Benitez has lined up Senegal international Diame as a potential replacement for French star Moussa Sissoko, who continues to be linked with a big-money exit.

The 29-year-old is believed to be interested in a move to Tyneside, in a move which would see him leave the Premier League crisis club.

Diame also has just one year left on his current deal meaning this is Hull's last chance to cash in.
