Hull City are being linked with Ipswich Town striker Daryl Murphy.
The Sunday Mirror says City are preparing to stump up £2m for Ipswich hit-man Murphy.
The Republic of Ireland international is well known to Tigers boss Steve Bruce, having been at Sunderland five years ago.
The injuries to Abel Hernandez (groin) and Nikica Jelavic (knee) have reinforced City's desires to recruit a forward in this transfer window, and Murphy could provide that boost.
