Hull City boss Steve Bruce is ready to hand Chris Kirkland a fresh Premier League chance.
Bruce is poised to bid for Sheffield Wednesday's former England goalkeeper who has put himself back on the map this season - and has a bargain fee in his contract, says the Mirror.
Kirkland played for Bruce at when he was at Wigan Athletic and his experience could be vital as the Tigers try to make an impact in the big time when they return next season, after sealing automatic promotion from the Championship on Saturday.
Bruce was keen for former Liverpool star Kirkland to play for him during this campaign.
But the shot-stopper, who has been plagued by injuries in the past, wanted to repay Wednesday for giving him the chance to play every week.
