Hull City boss Phil Brown is making a deadline day bid for Tottenham striker Darren Bent.
The News of the World says Brown has targeted a new striker before the transfer window closes tomorrow and Bent is at the top of his wish-list.
The ex-Charlton star, 24, has hit seven league goals this season.
But his Spurs future was thrown into doubt after a glaring miss against Portsmouth, after which boss Harry Redknapp joked: "My missus could have scored that."
Brown is hoping to sign Bent on loan but Spurs are keen to use him as part of a deal to sign Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz, who is also wanted by Manchester City.
