Hull City are chasing Costa Rica fullback Cristian Gamboa.

The Daily Star says the 24-year-old defender has impressed scouts as Costa Rica reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup before bowing out to the Netherlands.

Gamboa made four appearances for his club Rosenborg last season, who are reported to be willing to sell him for £3m.

Any potential deal could have hit a snag as Gamboa was injured during Costa Rica's defeat to the Netherlands.
