Hull City striker Craig Fagan is back in training following his fractured leg horror at Newcastle 2½ months ago.

Fagan suffered a broken fibula when he fell victim to an X-rated kick by red-carded Danny Guthrie.

The FA stunned football by insisting they would take no further action other than the automatic three-match ban.

Fagan then considered legal redress against Guthrie, after being told he could miss the rest of the season.

But he is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation and could now be back on first-team duty in the New Year.
