Hull City are closing in on Celtic striker Georgios Samaras.

The Daily Mail says he was asked to take a pay cut by the Glasgow club. The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer and free to talk to foreign clubs from January.

It is understood that Celtic have made him an offer but it would mean his basic pay being cut from £16,000 per week to £14,000. Hull can certainly better that.
