Hull City are planning to tie down Abel Hernandez to a brand new contract, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
There had been a lot of speculation surrounding the KCOM Stadium future of Hernandez this summer and he was reportedly a target for the likes of Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Napoli and Fiorentina.
Hull were able to keep hold of Hernandez though and are now planning to tie him down to a brand new contract by offering him a sizeable £55,000-a-week deal.
The Uruguayan starred for the Tigers last season and was a vital contributor with 21 goals as they gained promotion from the Championship.
