Hull City have gone formal over Liverpool's attempts for Andrew Robertson.
The Reds have identified the 22-year-old as an alternative to Leicester's Ben Chilwell as they are reluctant to meet the Premier League champions' £10m asking price.
A Hull spokesman told the Liverpool Echo: “I can confirm that Hull City have received no approach from Liverpool in relation to Andrew Robertson. And nor would we welcome one.
“We are trying to add four players to our squad for the new season and certainly wouldn't want to lose one who has three years left on his contract."
