Hull City defender Michael Turner admits he welcomes talk of an England call-up.
Turner told City Magazine: "The England thing has been nice all the way through (last season). It's another of my dreams, playing for my country, although whether it will become a reality I don't know.
"Obviously, it'll help the longer I'm playing in the Barclays Premier League and you never know what might happen.
"As a kid growing up in London, I was always kicking a ball about with my mates and I'd always dreamed of playing Barclays Premier League football. I watched the games on the telly. It was the top league, the best players and the best teams in the world - and the best grounds.
"You want to be involved in that and whatever level I've been at, I've never lost sight of that. I started in League One, albeit I was at Charlton before that. My first experience of playing league football was at Brentford and I can remember coming to Hull back then.
"I've worked hard to climb up the ladder and now I've been lucky enough to play in the Barclays Premier League. It's the place to be and where everyone wants to play."
