Hull City defender Paul McShane will have further tests next week after injuring his ankle on Tuesday night.

The Republic of Ireland international was stretchered off and taken to hospital during the 2-0 loss to Southampton but X-rays showed no fractures.

However, the Tigers medical team want to wait until the swelling subsides before doing further tests to assess whether or not there is ligament damage.
