Hull City defender Brian Lenihan has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad.
Injury to regular right-back Seamus Coleman has left coach Martin O'Neill with limited options for the role and he has opted to hand Lenihan his chance to impress.
The coach said: "We're going to bring up young Brian Lenihan at Hull because we don't have any natural right-back in the team at the moment.
"He will come in later on today and he will train with us tomorrow. I haven't (seen much of him). The reports have been fine, absolutely. Speaking to some of the lads here at Hull, they say he has settled in well. He is delighted to be coming."
