Hull City defender Anthony Gardner bears no grudge against Everton after failing to make an impact at Goodison Park last season.

Gardner had six months on-loan at Everton from Tottenham and insisted: "It was frustrating but it was a nice change of environment to go there, and Everton are a club clearly going places.

"At the time I just needed to go out on loan from Spurs and it was nice to be wanted."
