Hull City defender Anthony Gardner has set his sights on pushing former club Tottenham closer to the relegation trapdoor.

Gardner defender spent eight years at White Hart Lane before leaving for City last summer.

He said: "I've been looking forward to this game for a while. Now I just hope we get a good result. I'm shocked at where Tottenham are in the league. I would be sad if a team like Spurs got relegated.

"The Premier League needs a team like Spurs but I won't be that sorry if we take three points off them!"
