Hull City defender Abdoulaye Faye has taken a swipe at former club West Ham United.

He played a key role in West Ham's promotion to the Premier League and is now hoping to repeat the feat with Hull after the Hammers failed to offer him a new deal.

Faye said: "I'm disappointed with everything because he's taken me everywhere and then West Ham go up and I don't know what happened in the end.

"He (Sam Allardyce) rang me and said, 'I'm sorry because the owner doesn't want to give you a new contract'. I said, 'It's okay'."
