Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is close to joining Hull City on-loan.

The Mirror says Akpom is set to join Hull on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old spent pre-season with the Gunners and set his sights on securing a spot in the first-team squad.

However, boss Arsene Wenger has agreed to send the Arsenal academy graduate to the Championship outfit to get regular game time instead.
