Hull close in on Derby ace Hendrick, pursue Southampton striker Rodriguez

Hull City are planning a double swoop for Jeff Hendrick and Jay Rodriguez, according to reports from the Daily Star.

Due to the fact that there has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Hull this summer, the Tigers have not made a single signing following their promotion to the Premier League.

However, Hull are expected to ramp up their pursuit for new players during the final two days of the transfer window and reports claim that manager Mike Phelan is planning to land Derby midfielder Hendrick, who impressed for the Republic of Ireland at Euro2016.

It is also believed that the Humberside outfit are determined to lure Southampton attacker Rodriguez who could become available after the south coast club landed Sofiane Boufal from Lille for £16million on Monday.
