David Meyler is hoping he can help Republic of Ireland produce a surprise victory over England on Wednesday night.
The Hull City midfielder and his Irish teammates take on the Three Lions at Wembley in a friendly and he hopes he can celebrate his 24th birthday with a positive result.
"It's even more special because it's my birthday," the former Sunderland man said.
"I'm turning 24 when we play England at Wembley - what more could you want, especially after the season I have had? (helping Hull reach the Premier League).
"I know quite a few of the lads who will be there as well so it's like a dream really, and hopefully I get the opportunity to play.
"My family are all coming over so it would be capped off with my birthday. It would be outstanding."
