Hull City defender Andrea Ranocchia is sorry to see Claudio Ranieri lose his job at Leicester City.
Ranocchia is disappointed he will miss out on a reunion with another of his old bosses after Ranieri's sacking by Leicester.
He played under Ranieri at Inter, and ahead of today's game said: “It would have been nice to meet up with Claudio because I've not seen him for a while.
“I think his sacking has been met with the same reaction back in Italy as it has been here. It's just a real surprise after the way he created footballing history for the club last season."
The Foxes are out to avenge an opening day of the season defeat at the hands of the Tigers, and Ranocchia added: “They showed against Liverpool what a good team they can be.
“It's the start of a run of games against teams who are down at the bottom fighting with us so we know how important it is to take points off them."
