Hull Chinese takeover on track

Hull City's takeover is expected to be complete by the end of the month.

The People says the Chinese consortium, led by entrepreneur Dai Yongge and his sister Dai Xiu Li – one of her nation's wealthiest women – will discover on Tuesday if their bid has been ratified by the Premier League.

They are confident it will be and, once the Premier League has rubber-stamped their move, they can complete their purchase from the Allam family.

The Tigers are also set to name Mick Phelan as manager – at least until the end of the season on the back of their handy start.

Mike Phelan has guided the play-off final winners to two Premier League wins in their first three games and their only defeat, by Manchester United, was the result of a last-gasp goal.
