Hull City chairman Paul Duffen admits they're considering Marlon King's bust-up with manager Phil Brown.
The on-loan frontman reacted in an "unacceptable manner" after only being named as a substitute before Saturday's game with Arsenal.
He was later replaced in the squad by Caleb Folan after his clash with Brown and reportedly stormed out of the KC Stadium.
King faces clear-the-air talks with his manager in a bid to resolve the issue.
"There's no definitive story to tell, as with any football club it will be dealt with in-house," Duffen told the Hull Daily Mail. "He was disappointed with the team selection on Saturday and responded in an unacceptable manner so Phil sent him home.
"There's nothing further to say at this stage other than it will be dealt with internally."
