Hull City boss Mike Phelan is full of praise for former club Burnley.
The 53-year-old grew up a Clarets fan and came through the youth ranks at the club, making more than 200 appearances, before going on to represent Norwich City, Manchester United and West Brom.
“I started my career there, I went there as a kid at 14. I trained with what was then the apprentices," he explained to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
“I was a local lad who broke through at a time when Burnley was full of kids from the north-east and a couple from Ireland. For a local boy to break through was quite an achievement.
“I supported the club on the terraces in those days and it's a club that holds a nice place for me and my family."
