Hull boss Pearson set to take over Leicester reins

Sky Sports reports Hull City boss Nigel Pearson is poised to seal his return to Championship rivals Leicester City. Hull and Leicester have been locked in talks for the past week with the move thought to have been held up because of a dispute over the compensation package for Pearson and his backroom staff.

Pearson is highly regarded at Leicester after a successful two-year spell at the club between 2008 and 2010 when he guided the side to promotion from League One in the 2008/09 campaign before taking them to the Championship play-offs the following season.

Hull are expected to name Nicky Barmby as caretaker manager to replace Pearson once his switch to Leicester is ratified.
