Hull City boss Nigel Pearson is confident Manchester United winger Robbie Brady will bounce back.
The Tigers are believed to be keen to extend the winger's loan until the end of the season but the picture could become more complicated if Leicester succeed in their bid to lure Pearson back to the club as Sven-Goran Eriksson's successor.
"We said right from the outset that he's a young lad who's got very limited experience," said Pearson told The Hull Daily Mail. "You cast your mind back to [another ex-Red] Cameron Stewart last year and, after he had an amazing impact early on, people's expectations maybe rise a bit. And if players then go slightly off the boil, it compounds how people view it.
"Robbie is a match-winner but he's still learning the game. This experience with us will be fantastic for him in terms of learning how to cope with regular first-team football. My views will always be the same on Robbie - he's a potential match-winner in every game. I'm not saying he doesn't need a rest but because of the numbers game, we'll cut our cloth accordingly."
