Hull City boss Mike Phelan insists they won't sacrifice their EFL Cup tie this week.
Hull entertain Championship leaders Newcastle in the EFL Cup quarter-final this week, and Phelan has hinted at changes, even though he tried his best to give a diplomatic answer.
"I'll field a team that will be really, really competitive," he said.
"We've come so far in this competition that we deserve to give it its just desserts. If we didn't want to be in it, then we would have gone out earlier.
"We're in it, so I'll pick as strong a team as I possibly can. We have a few players who need a few minutes but I won't be making wholesale changes.
"But I'm sure Newcastle will be strong because they'll see this as a big opportunity to progress."
