Hull boss Marco Silva takes aim at Liverpool, Arsenal hero pundits

Hull City boss Marco Silva has taken aim at English pundits.

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson and Liverpool hero Phil Thompson have ridiculed him on live TV.

The duo questioned his credentials and insisted his pedigree meant he didn't deserve the chance to manage in the top flight.

Silva won last season's Greek title with Olympiakos and also the Portuguese Cup at Sporting Lisbon.

When asked if these achievements meant he deserved more respect and that pundits should have a greater knowledge of what he's done he said: “Yes.

“But for me it's not important. I respect all the opinions and what the football people talk about.

“But I don't care. For me it's not important, what is important is my work with my players and what our fans feel, what they believe.

“That is what is important for me in this moment."
