Hull boss Phil Brown had been quoted at 9/1 for the vacant managers post at Sunderland, but has quickly cooled speculation of any interest in the club he supported as a boy. When asked about Roy Keane's resignation from Sunderland he told Sky Sports News: "All I can say is that it's a tough job in the Premier League full stop. What has gone at Sunderland is Sunderland's business and nothing to do with me."
Then adding: "I've got to make sure that the next couple of years in Hull City's history are proud moments for everybody in the area and that's going to be my intention starting from Saturday."
