Hull City boss Steve Bruce won't rush Sone Aluko's return from long-term injury.

Aluko has been missing for four months with an Achilles injury.

"He's something different that any side would welcome back. He's only played seven or eight games in a calendar year so we'll not put any pressure on him," Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.

"We hope he stays injury free. He's worked extremely hard over the last 10 days putting some fitness work into him.

"We've given him an extra week to see if we can get some extra work into him so let's keep our fingers crossed that he will be okay. He could be huge for us."
